Nowadays, headphones have become an indispensable portable device for many people to go out. Whether it is office workers on the bus, student parties on campus, or sports enthusiasts who like to run, they basically wear a headset. The very important unit of the headset is its speaker, which is generally divided into two types: moving coil and moving iron.
Dynamic headphones can be said to be the mainstream headphones currently on the market. The principle is to use current to flow through the conductive coil to generate a magnetic field. The magnetic field interacts with the permanent magnetic material to drive the film to vibrate to produce sound.
The voice coil inside the moving iron earphone is wound on an iron sheet called a balanced armature located in the center of the permanent magnetic field. This armature is actually a moving iron unit, and this armature is driven to sound by the action of magnetic force. It uses an electromagnet to generate an alternating magnetic field. The vibrating part is an iron piece suspended in front of the electromagnet. When the signal passes through the electromagnet, the magnetic field of the magnet will change, so that the patch vibrates and makes a sound.
The difference between the two:
1. The sound insulation effect of moving iron earphones is better than that of moving coil earphones;
2. The moving coil unit will be affected by the temperature and humidity of the surrounding environment, and the frequency response curve may have some audible changes to the human ear; while the frequency response curve and the overall sound quality of the moving iron headset are more stable;
3. Moving iron earphones have better playback of sound details, and the layering of the low, medium, and high screens will be more obvious; while the three-band connection of moving coil earphones is more smooth and natural;
4. Dynamic headphones are more suitable for listening to classical music and large-scale music. Due to the very fast transient response, the moving iron earphones have excellent performance in following the sudden signal in the music. They are not sloppy and are more suitable for listening to fast and tight music.
